I saw a McDonald’s billboard sign not long ago and it read “Live Large, Medium, or small!” This slogan was referring to drink sizes. But I thought to myself, as I read, when it comes to my life, as a child of God, I want Jesus to live large in me! Not medium or small but large! I want to trust Him for things that are far beyond anything that I could ever do or trust Him for in my own human strength! He’s a big God, Awesome, Mighty, All Powerful, and He doesn’t do anything in medium or small. Proverbs 24:10 says, “If you faint in the day of adversary, your strength is small.” So I am asking and believing in God for big strength to face the challenges that I’m confronted with each new day, and, when I look to Him to Live Large in me, He will give me great strength and power to overcome every obstacle and challenge in my way. So order up, what will it be? Live large medium or small: It’s your choice!
I was out shopping with my daughters and a couple of friends not too long ago and as we parked the car we realized that we would need some change for the meter. We proceeded to gather some quarters and dimes for the meter and even went as far as dropping one in the slot when my daughter realized that the meter had already been paid! I went on to think how that relates to us as God's children. We were all out of time and doomed to hell but God came and sacrificed his life so that we could live with him for all eternity.
And the best part about it?
The gift is free just like the money in the meter! We didn’t deserve it but we get to live with him for all eternity. How amazing is that news?
